The Rotary Club of Warwick would like to thank the people of Warwick, and many beyond, for their support to the “Lights of Love” appeal this Christmas.
Over 280 loved ones were remembered and some £2,040 was donated, which will be divided between the Mayors charities and Myton Hospice.
The Christmas Tree in Warwick’s Market square was festooned with pretty cards made by staff in the Tourist Information office, to whom we express our gratitude for all their hard work. Thanks also go to the Mayor, Rev. Garratt, Newburgh School children and Warwick Marching Band who supported our carols service in the square, and to the Courier for their support in publishing details weekly.
We are grateful for the continued support of Barns Close Nurseries who provided the tree which graced the square from the Victorian evening at the end of November right through until the beginning of January. The names of those remembered can be seen on our website, www.warwickrotary.org.uk.”
