Club Meeting
St. David's Day. The speaker for this meeting is Matthew Hammond, who will talk about The Children's Hyperinsulinism Charity which is very close to the heart of this year's Club president, John Taylor, who has named it as one of his charities for the year. See the web site John will be in the chair and will also act as host to the speaker.

Today's meeting will be a closed meeting for members. Starting at 12 noon it will take the form of a discussion seminar led by Past District Governor and RI Assistant Rotary Coordinator (Zone 17) Steve Cartwright and will deal with the subject of Club Visioning. There will be a break for lunch at 1pm, and the meeting will then continue to a 2pm finish.

This year's International Evening Meeting will be all about Nepal. The guest speaker will be Om Gurung MBE, a well-known Midlands business-man, charity worker, and a former Gurkha. Further details will be published shortly but it promises to be a very interesting evening and you are advised to pencil the date into your diary.

After lunch today there will be a talk by Sally Atkinson on the work of Riding for the Disabled. Sally is the fund-raising manager of this organisation for the Coventry area.

Jack Linstead will speak to the club. He is pro-active with Health Champions as well as being a behaviour change, marketing and communications specialist, often focussing on the healthy! His other interests include festival planning, being a dad, rugby, running and ne is also a triathlon fan!

Be aware. As part of our stroke awareness campaign, on Saturday April 29th a caravan will be stationed in the Market Square in which members of the medical profession will be pleased to check your blood pressure. This service is provided free of charge. No treatment will be given but you will be advised if it is thought advisable for you to see your own doctor to have further checks.
