A talk by Heidi Mayer, the Master of the Lord Leycester Hospital in Warwick. The Lord Leycester Hospital is a retirement home for ex-Servicemen in Warwick that is located next to the West Gate, on High Street. The Hospital comprises the medieval Chapel of St James the Great, living quarters, a Guildhall and a Great Hall. The 13th Rotary Thai festival returns to Warwick racecourse on Sunday July 16th following a successful debut there last year. This popular event has outgrown the Market Place and the racecourse provides more space for additional attractions, and plenty of space for car parking. Once again members of Warwick Rotary, supported by the Mayor of Warwick and the staff of Warwick Castle, will entertain children from Chernobyl as part of the Chernobyl Children's Project. There will be no lunchtime meeting to-day, but instead there will be a Barbecue at the Warwickshire Golf Club at Leek Wootton, in the evening which is open to members, guests and friends. This is intended to be a friendly social get-together and it is hoped that we shall enjoy good autumnal weather.
