The highly popular Carols at Warwick Castle will be held this year on Saturday December 21st and returns to the former venue of the Castle Courtyard. Today's Meeting is the one where the club presents a Meritorious Award to a person from the town who is worthy of being honoured for their contribution to the local community. This year the award is being presented to Margaret Kite BEM for her outstanding work in collecting money for Myton Hospice in all weathers for many years. Phil Godfrey will talk to the club about Antiphospholipid syndrome (APS). Sometimes known as Hughes syndrome, it is a disorder of the immune system that causes an increased risk of blood clots. The first round of the 2020 Rotary 'Youth Speaks' National competition takes place at Northgate Methodist Church, Warwick, for schools within the Warwick & Leamington Area, on Thursday, 6th February at 6.30pm. There are two age groups - Intermediate and Senior - and there will be four teams in each group who will each debate for 15 minutes on a subject of their choice.
